Festival and Fun

Yesterday, the City of Bryan held their annual Texas Reds festival in downtown. This was the third year for the festival to take place. We went the very first year, but only long enough to catch the Bellamy Brothers perform. Great show! This year, I wanted to get there early to taste the wine. Yes, you read that correct. The beer lover decided it was time to try wine. I have tried wine in the past and just have not found anything that I liked much less loved. I knew that I didn't want anything dry or semi sweet. After trying a few, and making some very unique faces for my friends, I found a couple worth mentioning.

My first wine that I encountered and thought that I m
ight purchase in the future was made right here in BCS at Messina Hof. This Riesling was good, and my friends were very excited when I told them that I liked it.
Riesling
We moved along to try more wine. They tried several more, while I was hesitant. We went to the last tent, and I must say, this winery had it together. Their Texas Yellow Rose Sweet White Wine was EXACTLY what I was looking for in a wine. It was so good, I purchased a bottle right then and there.

What a great time the day was, and the evening was good, too. The entertainment for the evening was Earl Thomas Conley, followed by Robert Earl Keen. Later in the evening, the guys met us at the Festival, and I think they had fun, too.
Wine, Beer, Music and friends........need I say more!
